UCU brings together experienced academic researchers, consultants and practitioners to offer a comprehensive service of advice and assistance on every aspect of crime and community safety and the criminal justice system. UCU has a ten-year track record and a top level client list. Our team has worked together on a wide range of research studies, monitoring and evaluation schemes addressing issues such as, drug dealing, burglary, street crime, witness intimidation, hate crime and youth disorder. UCU specialises in the design and implementation of monitoring and evaluation programmes, the development of strategies and appropriate responses to crime and disorder problems. UCU is part of Urbecon Ltd, a multi-disciplinary consultancy firm with a national and international client base, specialising in social and economic research, economic development and regeneration. In July 2006, Urbecon merged with Platinumlinks Ltd thus doubling the resources available to meet the needs of our clients. UCU is based in the group's offices on the campus of the University of East London but the client-base covers the whole country and UCU consultants have carried out assignments in locations from Strathclyde to Cornwall. |
